How can you eat local?
I lived in Florida and go on the market for farmers at all times. I thought. dining I began to question the farmers is only one culture was local: lawyers. All the rest were from other states. So how can you eat locally in Ohio winter mean? I think the whole eating local so it only works in California, huh?
I at home in Ohio this year with a lot of planning prior work. spring, summer and fall, make a lot of canning, freezing and drying. I also do much to extend the season (I am a producer from the market myself) usually has things like green, leek, beets during the winter. I also saved with root crops such as winter squash, garlic, onion storage, carrots, parsnips, turnips, etc.. Volume chickens for meat and buying more meat, eggs and milk from other local producers.
