Plan to attend a concert and take a little trip to the end of this summer and can not decide which city to attend the concert in. I've never been to California and would like some advice from those who either live in or around these areas or someone who has traveled there. I can travel with my husband and toddler. We love going to farmers markets and I really like going to the beach. Also enjoy music, art and dining in restaurants exclusive. (That's not the typical chain stores) Thanks in advance anyone who can offer any information. or advice on places to check if it exists.
Concord is near Walnut Creek, a small pretty town with some good restaurants. It is about 40 miles east of San Francisco and very hot in summer is so far from the bay or the ocean. I do not know about surrounding villages, but most are bedroom communities of the SF and draws East Bay. You are on the same side of the Bay from Berkeley who is on deck SF Mountain View is in Silicon Valley between San Francisco and San Jose for more options if you stay here. It has colder weather, travel times in San Francisco, which has more than enough to visit, including a beach and can be conducted by the coast of San Francisco to Santa Cruz, which is a beautiful beach with a promenade in the summer, then back through the mountains of San Jose and see some images, and even Highway 101 in Mountain View. There are all kinds of attractions, if you do the latter.
