NC State Farmer’s Market in Raleigh – worth a visit in March?
We’ll be in NC in about two weeks and some family members want to visit the State Farmer’s Market. My thinking is that since it’s still March there wouldn’t be much fresh produce there yet. Am I wrong? Also, some farmer’s markets have crafts or cheeses or breads in addition to fresh produce. Do they sell these at the State Farmer’s Market, since these would be more year round offerings? Thanks for the help.
Yes, the NC state farmer’s market has a good deal in stock actually. Lots of sweet potatoes, since they can be grown in NC year-round. But other great stuff too…even some leftover mountain apples from the fall. There’s an indoor market with breads, cheeses, crafts too.
