What edible garden plants may have come in winter?!?
Hi, I'm 14 and live in Berkshire, England and I grow food organic in my garden during the winter. What crop (s) I can develop? Ps I do not want to travel all the way to China for these seeds please: D
Cabbage, beets, turnips, potatoes, carrots. Many of the best vegetables are the spring and fall crops in the cabbage family like broccoli, cabbage, sprouts Brussels. They do not grow in the heart of winter, but not everyone tolerates light frosts and have a thin layer of snow. You should be able to maintain activity at the beginning winter with only a blanket or canvas row a cold frame is an old window. Beware of lead paint. In the depths of winter, you eat your vegetables, roots. Turnips are not the best in the world, but lives and breathes turnips taste better than week old tomato shipped from far away. The root-resistant crops like warm blood. Note the sun is closer to the horizon in the fall and winter moves directly overhead. A garden that receives full sun in summer could be the most shade the day in the fall.
