There are plenty of pseudo-organic shampoos on the market for companies that want slice of organic but are not willing to go far to produce a truly organic product. These imitators claim to be original organic organic, but when put to the test simply do not measure up.
How can you tell if you're buying organic shampoo is really organic?
The first thing to know is that "organic" on the packaging or on the front label it does not mean that the shampoo is organic. The term "organic" does not have an official definition in the industry of cosmetics and personal care products. So manufacturers can use as they see fit. Many companies call their shampoo organic when in fact it is not.
How can you get away with it?
Because they can. There are no rules or laws to stop them.
After abuse of the term "organic", a number of companies in the health conscious generation actually "real" organic shampoo and other personal care products convinced the FDA so they can use the label USDA certified organic ingredients meet the standards of the Programme National Organic Food.
Do not stay outside the ball cluster of companies that wanted to legitimately call their products organic, but were not willing to use only real ingredients that meet organic standards for food have created their own organic standards with lower requirements, allowing some synthetic ingredients and chemical preservatives. This was the birth of organic OASIS.

If Before you buy a shampoo, organic or not, be sure to check the list of ingredients on the back of the container. truth about health and safety of your shampoo and personal care product you choose is in the list of ingredients. This is not in the front of the package. This is not in any advertising, celebrity endorsements, radio or television ads. This is not even on the website of the company. It is in the ingredients found in the product.
Examples of ingredients found in a number of organic shampoos actually called non-organic products:
• grapefruit seed extract – the alleged natural preservative has been shown in several research studies for its antimicrobial properties, no seed grapefruit, but the toxic chemicals, mainly benzethonium chloride, and to a lesser extent, triclosan and parabens.
• Cocamidopropyl Betaine – It is toxic to the immune system, skin awareness and can cause allergic contact dermatitis and other reactions. Proponents of its use is natural, because derived from the coconut. However, chemical synthesis of highly processed.
• hydrolyzed wheat protein – all is hydrolyzed is a hidden source of MSG. MSG is harmful not only when you eat, but when you put on your skin. It is an excitotoxin, that is, that excites neurons to death. And it can be absorbed through the skin into the blood.
• PEG – PEG Any ingredient that contains your name may be contaminated by chemical carcinogens 1,4-dioxane. This has been demonstrated in a 2008 study in which the body care products were removed from the shops, including grocery stores, and tested. Many of these products have proven contain 1,4-dioxane in varying amounts.
Make sure you choose organic shampoos do not contain any of these chemicals harmful. Also remember that these are only some of which should be monitored. There are thousands of ingredients used in shampoos and body care products. Many are harmful. Most have not been properly tested.
