It operates under the Casey’s General Stores, HandiMart, and Just Diesel brand names in Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, and Indiana. currently the company operates 1,474 stores.

The company produced better than expected earnings in last three of four quarters by 9.6% in July 2008, by 47.4% in January 2009, and by 16.7% in April 2009. Market is expecting a profit of 60 cents per share for the quarter ended July 2009, which is 3 cents more than its actual profit in the same quarter a year ago.

CASY is in my BUY watch list for the short term trading. Next earnings for the quarter ended July 2009, is scheduled to be released on September 8, 2009 after the market close.

United Natural Foods Inc., (UNFI): Founded in 1978, headquartered in Dayville, Connecticut, United Natural Foods Inc., is a distributor of natural, organic, specialty foods and related products including nutritional supplements, personal care items and Organic Produce in the United States. The companies distribution operations are divided into five principal units: UNFI Eastern Region, UNFI Western Region, Albert’s Organics, Select Nutrition, and UNFI Specialty Distribution Services. In addition to distribution operations, UNFI’s divisions include Blue Marble Brands, the Natural Retail Group and Hershey Import Company. The company distributes throughout the United States and to more than 40 other countries. As of August 2, 2008, it owned and operated 13 natural products retail stores located primarily in Florida.

The company met or exceeded markets expectations in four of last four quarters by an average of 5.3%. Market is expecting a profit of 35 cents per share for the quarter ended July 2009, which is 5 cents more than its actual profit in the same quarter a year ago.

UNFI is in my BUY watch list for short term trading. Quarter four 2009 earnings for the quarter ended July 2009 is scheduled to be released on September 09, 2009 at 10:00 AM Eastern.

Mens Wearhouse, Inc., (MW): Founded in 1974, based in Houston, Texas, Mens Wearhouse is a specialty retail store for men’s apparel with 1,294. The Mens Wearhouse, Moores and K&G Stores carry a full selection of designer, brand name and private label suites, sport coats, furnishings and accessories. It operates its stores in United States and Canada.

The company exceeded markets expectations in four of last four quarters. Market is expecting a profit of 61 cents for the quarter ended July 2009, which is 11 cents less than its actual profit it posted in the same quarter a year ago.

MW is in my BUY watch list for short term trading. Earnings release for the quarter ended July 2009 is scheduled to be released on September 9, 2009, at 4:00 PM Eastern.

Campbell Soup Company., (CPB): Founded in 1869, headquartered in Camden, New Jersey, Campbell Soup Company together with its subsidiaries, engages in the manufacture and marketing of branded convenience food products worldwide. Campbell products are sold in 120 countries around the globe. The Companies North America’s Portfolio includes retail and food service brands, including; Campbell’s, Pace, Prego, Swonson, StockPot,V8, and Pepperidge Farm. Its International portfolio features brands in Europe and Asia Pacific. Beyond the campbell’s worldwide brands, it also own variety of soup and sauce brands, including Erasco Soups in Germany and Liebig soups in France.The company also owns dry soup and sauce businesses in Europe under the Royco, D&L, Heisse Tasse, and Bla Band brands. In Asia Pacific it owns the Arnott’s brand of biscuits and snacks.

The company exceeded markets expectations in four of last four quarters by an average of 5.3%. Market is expecting a profit of 26 cents per share for the quarter ended July 2009. The company posted a profit of 26 cents in the same quarter a year ago.
