Now, in 2010, the USDA does not allow the toxin rotenone used in USDA certified organic farm?
I read that, although biological Rotenone is a neurotoxin that, when consumed by rats exposed brain damage similar to that found among people with Parkinson's disease … not mention that rotenone is highly toxic to fish (the government has used tons of it in a deliberate "strategic" 2009 fish kill near of Chicago) … and rotenone also kills beneficial insects, organic farmers will probably prefer not to kill. I have read that while direct sunlight, decomposes in six days, it takes 6 months, when in the water … anyway, it seems that something very unpleasant to use "organic" crops that often sell 30% -100% more than conventional crops. In addition, indoor air quality products certified Organic Food that exposure to this neurotoxin, Rotenone?
First, unless you know that the organic farmer or grow your own production in the soil test, there is no way of knowing what that pesticides are used. And they are used. "Rotenone is an odorless chemical that is used as broad spectrum insecticide, fish poison, and pesticides. The occurs naturally in the roots and stems of various plants such as yam vine. "Rotenone is used as a pesticide in organic matter (What it really means) the agriculture, as it is considered a biological product. It is considered "relatively benign to humans." PD in our household uses know there are many products phenomena that may contribute to PD or Parkinson's. http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/ ~ Lhomo / organictext.html rotenone does not interfere with the mitochondria and it is dangerous to patients with PD and as an environmental trigger of the disease. This is significant as a cause of death of dopaminergic neurons. In essence it seems rotenone be the cause dopamine to be convened by the center of the cell through vesicle cytosol before it is needed or when mixed with mutated alpha-synuclein and dies. http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/323/2/499.abstract?cited-by=yes&legid=jpet; 323/2/499 blockers, calcium channel blockers are being investigated to find one that could block the L-type Cav1.2 channels to protect against this destruction. Currently, the channel blockers work on receptors Ca near but not on that channel. Cav1.3 blockers do not seem to help, however. http://www.mdvu.org/emove/article.asp?ID=952 No, the FDA does not restrict its use on crops, but has not been approved for certain fish consumption. For example: From 2008 http://wildlife.utah.gov/dwr/news/42-utah-wildlife-news/388-s-utah-fish-eradication.html publication "Using of rotenone to replenish the stocks of fish in ponds "by Dr. Martin Brunson:" Rotenone works by inhibiting the biochemical processes in cells fish, causing fish inability to use oxygen to release energy during normal body processes. In fact, the fish suffocate due to lack of oxygen. But contrary to popular belief, rotenone does not remove oxygen from the water. Fish treated with rotenone to move into shallow water or on the surface of deeper waters gasping for oxygen within minutes of exposure to chemical "The problem is that mass or mini-mass production, there are few things there that are safe for the entire population, while the goal is to protect the product against insects and other murderers of the plant. And not just for agricultural products or fish products, read the label on your dog shampoo. (Not all but some).
