Help stocking my shelves with healthy food?

I have come to the conclusion that i have to build up my will power so i can loose weight, but when i go to the stores i have no idea what to buy, so i get my usual junk food. What i need is simple ideas of what i should stock up in my house for food.

A few things to keep in mind:
1. i dont have money… so no fancy high priced items.
2. I am not going all organic… i have looked into that kinda stuff and it doesnt fit me or my budget
3. Please no fancy dishes or anything. Simple heart of the prairie everyday food that is healthy and i can make meals out of. I’m brought up on simple things and that’s what i like… i just have to resist the urge to make simple things the unhealthy way :)
4. Maybe a few dish ideas as well wouldnt hurt, please try to keep it simple. A menu is another thing I’m lacking so this would help greatly!!!

Thank you all for all your help!!!

First get a lot of lettuce, you should be eating at least one big salad a day. You can put any fruits or vegetables in it to make it more enjoyable.
Next, lots of fruit, I find apples and oranges last longer and are easier to take with you on the go. Bananas just don’t last that long, so I’ve personally given them up myself. Also, you could buy frozen fruit so when you run out of fresh you have something to hold you over, or you can use it to make smoothies or add to yogurt of cottage cheese.
Get some eggs, but when you make eggs, only have one yolk and a few egg whites.
I usually get a large package of chicken, some fish, and several cans of tuna- since those will last forever. You can put uncooked chicken in the freezer, so buy in bulk.
Stay away from any snacks, and any packed meat that is breaded. I completely stay away from breads, chips, cookies, muffins, but that’s following my personal trainers plan which is very big on protein.
Also, if you are going to get beverages, you should only get orange juice, no sodas or fake juices that are very sugary.

Hope it helps.
