What cat food should i use?
We used to use whiskers but then someone told us its bad for them so we moved them onto purina but that’s also apparently bad for them? so im just wondering what to use. ive read other peoples answers but they say use cat food called innova, go natural , natures logic , timber wolf organics i cant get them anywhere over here i live in england so what can i use?
are these ok?
hills
science plan
applaws
natures menu
Thanks Xx
Whiskas isn’t bad, just overrated.
I prefer to use food with higher meat content, and there are loads of different types available. Applaws is the highest meat content I’ve found in the UK, but it’s too rich for one of my older cats – gives her a runny bum. And it’s quite expensive.
I’ve recently discovered “Purely” a range of competitively priced high protein dry, canned and pouch foods, available from Pets at Home – the UK version of Petsmart. They have an on-line service too if you don’t have one locally.
Do some homework on the actual content of the food, just the same way you check the labels on your food before you eat it, make sure you’re happy that the food is providing what your cat needs, and nothing that may not be good for her.
Make particular note of the protein/fat/magnesium contents. You’ll be amazed what you’ve been paying for!
