Genetically Modified Organisms in the food supply??

How do you feel about GMOs being introduced into the food supply without your knowledge or consent? Do you feel that the US Government should warn/inform us of when this is happening an in what products GMOs occur?? Is it enough for some products to be labels organic OR should all food products be required to be labeled as containing GMOs?

Interesting thought. I feel it should be labeled however given the amount of altered food that has been consumed and is currently stocking the shelves through out the Continent it may be simpler to mark that which hasn’t had anything changed in it’s make up. I am of the understanding that GMO food staples have allowed for the end to famine in several densely populated areas of South Asia. Regardless of the potential for unknown effects upon humans it is certain that without these advances those that lived in that era of famine would be long since departed. There should be a list formed of what has been altered and what hasn’t. This list should be posted and copies keep on display in supermarkets or wherever foodstuffs are available. That would be an effective and fair way of addressing this issue in my opinion. The handbooks that are issued to factories regarding hazardous chemicals would make an excellent template to fashion after. You have a good idea here, perhaps worthy of scrutiny by those that are responsible for such affairs. Suddenly I have a desire to eat some of those giant strawberries, those things are the size of apples for goodness sakes! I wonder if they’ve been altered too?
