Why you need to take food after food supplements
If you are not taking high-quality food supplements who lost a battle of good health throughout his life. What I mean by high quality food food supplements? I grew up in a suburb of Los Angeles the mid-twentieth century, where production was abundant. My introduction to nutrition, of course, my mother who taught home economics and food provided prepared with the "four basic food groups.
She has prepared all our meals. For dinner, we always had a meat, vegetable, salad and a glass of milk. We often starchy and rarely went out to eat. We also had our daily vitamin pill. I started reading about nutrition and supplements to mid of the 1960s when the health food because of the inconvenience hippie. Adele Davis devoured information and began to enter the Organic Food cutting meat, eating whole grains and drinking tea.
It was not until the 1970s, however, I began to study the effects of vitamins and minerals in health. Most of my friends have been counter-culture in bottled water, work the body, and healthy eating, so it was easy for me to follow the behavior of my friends and live a healthy lifestyle. I was so fascinated by the deprivation of nutrients in food that has been submitted to learn more about what happened to get where we are now.
During World War II scientists were hard work developing chemicals to combat enemy. chemical warfare had been used to some extent in the First World War, but things "exploded during the 40s. Many chemicals have been developed to kill.
After the war was not necessary to have a chemical arsenal to kill people, but the technology is there and if a new sector emerges as a result. Pesticides! It has been great progress to help cope with the growing population after the war. After all, if you kill the insects that feed on a percentage of revenue, we'll have more for us!
Today, scientists have begun to be able to produce molecules for less money than what is necessary to extract food in the 50s and so have developed the synthetic vitamin market. Idea was to identify and isolating a specific nutrient to synthesize and regulate the amount of this substance in a pill. This mimics the way pharmaceutical products are manufactured and determining the effectiveness that can solve the supplements.
The recommended daily intake of nutrients has been created in the 30s to ensure that the population had the lowest nutrient for life. So, in order to manufacture the supplements with the RDA, synthetic vitamins are most effective and profitable.
Baby boom began in 1946 and did not stop until the late 50s. Meanwhile, a couple of things have changed
1. We started spraying insecticides in commercial products for increase production to a much larger scale to accommodate population growth.
2. We have started using chemical fertilizers to grow food faster.
In the sixties, people were eating plastics, polymers, synthetic vitamins, pharmaceuticals, etc. levels unprecedented. Fast food was born. People began to consumption of processed foods in quantities never seen before.
Supermarkets emerge as the new form buying food. The food was locally grown, but included green and artificially ripened just before are left out. Phytochemicals are valuable plants tomatoes and fruity explosion that became less less available.
But … its effectiveness?
If you look at the statistics, because people intake has been the synthetic vitamins, the health of our people does not mean that it is working to counteract the effects of dietary deficiencies. States U.S. is very low compared with other countries in the world in terms of health and welfare, and spending more per capita on health (disease) than any other country!
So once I understood the reasons for our food supply is depleted in nutrients, it was clear to me that we need to replace nutrients lacking in food, not synthetics, but with the same food.
Preferred One of my books in the 1980s is the bible of vitamin Earl Mindell. I started buying individual vitamins and minerals and creating my own combinations to create the optimal mix. I made it to mid 1990 when he showed Based on food supplements. That's where I learned a lesson in support of my health with nutrition through herbal supplements and not have to memorize every detail of each type of vitamins and minerals.
What are four basic criteria that should be account when choosing supplements: they must be herbal, standardized and guaranteed, and GMP standards. Have you ever seen how synthetic vitamins are made? It is a revelation. Many are made from oil!
