Where can I buy fresh sour cream?
When I am in Costa Rica with my family, we eat fresh sour cream that my grandfather makes on our farm. Now I live in the U.S. for graduate school, but what grocery stores sell as sour cream in the U.S. tastes very different! The sour cream in Costa Rica has a lighter consistency and is sweeter. I am guessing the reason is because there we are eating it fresh, and here in the U.S. you can only get it in plastic cups with preservatives.
Do you know where I could buy fresh sour cream? I live in Berkeley, CA and would go anywhere in the Bay Area to get it. I have tried farmer’s markets but they do not sell it there. Are there dairy farms I can go to directly that might sell it?
I know that sour cream is already sour…what I mean is, where can you get freshly MADE sour cream? Sorry, English is not my first language. 
Petaluma or Half Moon Bay – google dairy farms. Or go to the Cheeseboard in Berkeley (on Telegraph?) and ask them (if there’s something in Berkeley they would know), while you’re at it have some bitchin’ cheese!
