Do you think we owe a debt to society?
I think we should be aware of what other people do for us: People who make our clothes, grow our food, build our homes, make our cars, build our roads, etc. Everything we use and have is created for us by someone. Does anyone ever think of that? We take allot for granted, don’t you think? I am grateful for what I have but on a deeper level. What would happen if there were no vehicles like trucks to haul goods to shops, restaurants, super markets, malls, etc. What would happen if there were no farmers to grow food? I know we pay money for these things but, do you ever look at these things on a deeper level?
I believe the only “debt” we might owe is to be good and follow the “Golden Rule.” The things you mentioned are the result of supply and demand. As long as we continue to pay for goods and services they will be provided. But suppose the whole infrastructure of society did collapse, as has occurred repeatedly in the third world. Would you be able to cope. Do you think you could adapt to such a drastically changed world? Now, that’s thinking on a deeper level.
I am glad you are appreciative of what you have and are aware of the great system in place that provides you with all of your wants and needs. You are probably a sweet and sensitive young lady. I hope you have a happy and full life.
