Why are you still overweight?
I’m doing research regarding Organic Food and I am curious as to why people who are obviously grossly overweight do nothing about it?
After I had a baby I had 15 extra pounds attached to me and I fought like heck to get it off ASAP. And that’s just a measly 15 lbs that brought my size 4 frame up to an 8. BUT I looked in the mirror and cringed.
But I see friends tipping scales at 180, 200, 220 lbs whil eating junk and they make fun of ME for only eating organic food, cooking everything from scratch, visiting farm stands, buying natural meats, and being a “health nut.”
Last week I was stuck in a food court at an outlet mall starving and was delighted to discover a healthy vendor offering organic salads and wraps. As I made my way to the counter I overheard and obese family reading the menu outloud and then saying “oh, it’s organic…nevermind…” and then they got in line at a sbarro. WHY????
WHY?
Wow. First I would tell you to get off your soap box. Not all overweight people are the morons you make them out to be.
I gained quite a bit with my second pregnancy, not all due to being pregnant if I’m honest and as a result it was tough to lose it and change the bad habits but after a year I was pre baby weight. (23 years later the weight is still off but still hard to always choose to eat the right thing).
But during that time, make no mistake I was not some stupid fat dunce who didn’t know that eating a spinach salad was a healthier choice than eating a Big Mac. It is appalling to me that you would lump an entire section of society as being dumb because they carry extra weight. Very, very small minded of you. Although I’ve lost the weight I must say I would rather be fat than small minded and arrogant.
Educate yourself on conditions that do cause one to have difficulty losing weight such as hypothyroid or certain drugs one takes when suffering from cancer. It may help you to have sympathy for your fellow man instead of the underlying hatred you seem to simmer with. If someone is suffering due to illness or a death in the family or whatever struggles, maybe they are finding comfort for the moment in food.
Perhaps you are just an angry person who is not happy with yourself. I wish you luck. I hope you can be happy, you sound miserable.
